Coach Stores: Flagship Locations, Shops and What to Know

Going by Tapestry’s annual report, Coach had 973 directly operated stores as its 2026 fiscal year closed on 27 June 2026. Broken down, that is 336 stores in North America alongside 637 across international markets. Another figure that circulates, about 1,299 stores, applies to all of Tapestry’s brands as a group, not to Coach by itself. By some accounts, Tapestry has said it plans around 50 net new Coach stores in fiscal 2027, roughly three quarters of them in markets outside North America. Coach House flagships, everyday full-price boutiques, concessions within department stores and Coach Outlet stores together make up the network. Someone looking for a coach store could as a result find anything from a multi-floor flagship to a unit in an outlet village. This guide moves city by city through the most thoroughly documented locations and notes where a store’s current status still needs checking.

New York: Coach House on Fifth Avenue

Coach was founded in New York in 1941, and its home city holds its best-known flagship. To celebrate the brand’s 75th anniversary, the Coach House at 685 Fifth Avenue cosch-outlet.com opened in the fall of 2016. Reports put the store at about 20,000 square feet across three floors, and it was designed with William Sofield’s Studio Sofield. That address is not a permanent home, however, because Coach has reportedly leased about 13,200 square feet at 645 Fifth Avenue for a new Coach House. Coach has pencilled in 2027 for the planned move, while David Yurman is said to have leased the 685 Fifth Avenue space ahead of an expected opening in early 2029. Because it has not been confirmed whether the current store is still open on a given day, use Coach’s store locator before setting out specially. The locator also lists a Coach store at 20 Hudson Yards, near Tapestry’s headquarters at 10 Hudson Yards.

London: Coach House on Regent Street

The address of London’s Coach House is 200–206 Regent Street, where it launched in 2016 as a worldwide concept store. Studio Sofield also designed the London store, which gives it a family resemblance to the New York flagship. Press coverage from that period mentioned a Craftsmanship Bar for monogramming and personalisation. Made-to-order Rogue pieces reportedly need around 12 weeks, or about 16 weeks in exotic skins, with a Made to Order bar for the Rogue bag reported as well. Some writers have quoted the wrong opening year since one retail-district listing carries a much later page date. Tapestry said on its August 2026 earnings call, according to a published transcript, that the UK, plus some wholesale business, is the only part of Europe where Coach has material market penetration. Before you go, check which services are currently offered if you are planning a personalisation appointment.

Tokyo: Ginza

Tokyo’s Ginza district houses Coach’s flagship in Japan. Coach unveiled its first Japanese flagship there in 2002 and refreshed the store in 2015. Reports of the relaunch say that the studio CURIOSITY reimagined the store, which reopened on 19 December 2025. Selected Japanese stores reportedly are part of the Coach (Re)Loved trade-in exchange, making Japan relevant for services as well. Gently used all-leather retail bags are reportedly accepted under the scheme, while outlet items and canvas pieces are left out. Which Japanese stores participate was not confirmed, so ask the store before bringing in a bag. Just as with every flagship in this guide, it is best to check opening hours and services shortly before visiting.

Hong Kong, Chongqing and a Dated Shanghai Record in Greater China

Coach’s large stores in Greater China have patchier records than those in New York or London. Based on a record that is now dated, a flagship of about 7,000 square feet opened on Huai Hai Middle Road in Shanghai in April 2010. It was not possible to verify its current status, which means the Shanghai store cannot be assumed to be open today. Coach has also been reported to have a global flagship in Hong Kong and a two-storey glass flagship in Chongqing. Similarly, no opening date could be verified for either of those two stores. International stores represent 637 of Coach’s 973 directly operated stores, but the annual report figure is not a list by city. When planning a trip, use Coach’s local store locator over older press coverage.

British Boutiques and Concessions

Apart from Regent Street, full-price stores appear on Coach’s UK store locator at Westfield London in White City and at Westfield Stratford City. St Pancras and the Promenade Level at Canary Wharf are further London options. Away from London, the documented full-price store is located at the Bullring in Birmingham. Coach is also present in concessions inside Harrods in Knightsbridge and Selfridges on Oxford Street, where a Coach Playground space has been promoted. Never assume a local branch exists in Manchester, Edinburgh or other UK cities without checking, as no stores there were confirmed. This list covers the documented full-price options at the time of writing for anyone looking up coach uk locations. Each listed store has its own page on Coach’s UK website, which is the surest place to confirm hours and services.

Coach Outlet Stores

Coach’s store locator labels Coach Outlet stores as outlets, and they are part of Coach’s own network instead of being run by independent discounters. Outlet centres are the typical setting for these stores, and Coach has reportedly opened Coach Coffee Shop concepts at Jersey Gardens and Woodbury Common in the United States. In Britain, Coach Outlet stores are confirmed at Bicester Village, Cheshire Oaks Designer Outlet and Ashford Designer Outlet. The picture at York Designer Outlet is less clear: a store there has been reported but not confirmed, so check ahead before making the trip. A share of the stock in outlet stores is made for the outlet channel, yet today’s mix is unknown, since the only share figure found, around 85%, goes back to 2014. Besides earlier-season styles, outlet ranges can also include some full-price collection product under the reported «One Coach» strategy. Ahead of a coach outlet trip, review the current offers: promotions change, and coupon-site sale calendars could not be confirmed.

What to Expect Inside a Coach Store

Inside a full-price coach store, the spotlight is the current handbag range, with small leather goods, clothing and shoes on offer too. The Tabby was introduced in 2019, the Brooklyn followed in August 2024 and the Empire Carryall was released in February 2025, and the three count among the recognisable bag families in 2026. Observed US prices put a Tabby 26 at $475 and an Empire Carryall 34 at $450, but these are market observations rather than an official price list. Some stores also take part in the (Re)Loved trade-in, which runs in North America retail stores plus select UK and Japan stores. Based on reports, Coach Insider, the free loyalty programme, covers both Coach and Coach Outlet, which means one membership spans both formats. Coach says it does not authenticate merchandise, which makes a receipt from a Coach store helpful evidence of where a coach bag came from. Creative direction is led by Stuart Vevers, whose appointment was announced in June 2013 and who is still Creative Director in 2026.

How to Plan a Visit

A little preparation avoids wasted journeys, especially while the New York flagship is preparing to move. Begin with Coach’s store locator for the country you are visiting, since it separates full-price stores from Coach Outlet locations. If you want a trade-in, confirm that the specific store participates and that your bag is all leather rather than canvas. Enquire in advance whether the personalisation or made-to-order service you want is available. Tax-free shopping for tourists in Great Britain ended on 1 January 2021, so visitors to Britain will find no VAT refund to plan around. Save every receipt, because it documents where a bag was bought if questions arise later. Look up current promotions before a long journey to an outlet centre, because offers change frequently.

  • Consult the store locator on the day of travel.
  • Confirm that the store participates in trade-ins and that your bag is eligible.
  • Book ahead for personalisation services.
  • Keep receipts for every purchase.
